"eat the herbs and bite on the stick." bluefur mewed. she put her ear on the she-cats belly. "two or three kits." she mewed. firestorm sat to the side, watching, hopeing that his sister would take care of her.

Silverstripe ate the herbs, wincing at the bitter taste. Grabbing ahold of the stick, she heaved. The first kit came out. Silverstripe panted.

Silverstripe's sides heaved at the last kit was born. She turned around to look at them. She looked proudly at Firestorm.

firestorm moved closer as bluefur licked and set the last kit by her. she sat back. "there, perfect." firestorm purred.

Tawnypaw shook her head. "But mom showed me ho wto do the crouch." she demonstrated what she had learned, doing it almost exactly right.

Silverleaf nodded, circling the apprentice. "Very good. That's almost right." She smiled, lowering Tawnypaw's tail a bit. "Now, bring yourself forward slowly and as quietly as possible, remember to keep low to the ground as well."

Tawnypaw gritted her teeth as she stepped down on the leaves, and she purred in delight when she didnt make any noise stepping on them.

Silverleaf smiled before standing up straight. "Now I want you to see if you can smell any prey. If so, try to catch it before I teach you exactly how. It'll show me if you can find out on your own. If you can't then I'll teach you so don't worry."

"Okay." Tawnypaw took a deep breath and she scented mouse. she angled here ar stowards it and started to creep up on it. her tail accidntally stirred up some leaves and wafted her scent towards the mouse and it ran away. Tawnypaw hissed in irritation.

Silverleaf lay her tail on the apprentice's shoulders gently. "It's alright. Do you remember when I crouched? I pulled my tail to my side." She quickly demonstrated, pulling forward easily. "This allows more control of your tail so it doesn't hit any leaves. Try again."

Tawnypaw scented again an dthis time dected a bird. she crouched down and remembered what Silverleaf told her. she moved her tail to the side and stalke dup o the bird. when she thought she was close enough and pounced an pinned the bord down. she quickly bit its throat.

Silverleaf purred with pride, nodding. "Great catch! Well done Tawnypaw." She crouched and backed up a bit, glancing over her shoulders before spinning on her hind paws and crushing a mouse behind her, killing it.

ooc Silverleaf is MAGICAL! nah... I've seen a cat do that before owo it was awesome! XD

Silverleaf padded over to her, setting her mouse down. "I'll teach you that after some battle training. I want to make sure you can balance well since you can cause yourself injuries by doing that." She smiled kindly. "Now, is there anything else about hunting you wish to learn?"

"Can we climb the trees to catch birds and stuff?" Tawnypaw had been wondering that since she was a kit. she had seen the hunting patrols cokme back with squirrel and she wondered how they cought them.

"Ah... Well yes. It's much more difficult than hunting on the ground though so we try to avoid it. Plus there's a big chance that a cat could fall and get seriously injured. I'll teach you later I promise." Silverleaf shivered, taking a short glance at her hind leg before looking back at Tawnypaw.

Wavepaw lifted her head. "I can smell a squirrel." she said, pointing with her tail.

Wavepaw flattened her ears and forced herself to hold her tail up before sneaking up on the mouse, narrowing her eyes to see through the bushes.
